Become a Member

Membership is open to all Indigenous-led organizations in Winnipeg.  This is defined as organizations comprised of an Indigenous Board of Directors and an Indigenous Executive Director and where the organization functions according to Indigenous cultural values and practices.  We define Indigenous-led organizations as those with a minimum of 75% of Indigenous Board of Directors and Indigenous staff.

Membership within WIEC does not negate members’ autonomy as individual organizations with particular mandates and responsibilities.   

There will also be Associate Members, who will be Indigenous Executive Directors for non-Indigenous-led organizations or non-Indigenous Executive Directors for Indigenous-led organizations.
